Technical SupportOverview
Technical Support function of Riverdale Color is set up to assist customers in all matters relating to the use of our products. We provide in-house and on-site support in running pre-production trials, and equipment and related software installations. Our field tech service reps are available for trouble-shooting as well as periodical follow-up of normal operating conditions with liquid color. We offer customers training on-site as well as in our own training center. We will do our utmost to make sure that our products perform for you at or above your expectation levels.

Our Technical Support Function is set up to insure that our customers are successful in using our products. Therefore, it is involved in all aspects of the process, from color development, to day-to-day operations involving our colorant.

Specifics

  1. Color matching:
    Our Technical Support Group takes on the responsibility of understanding each customer's requirements, processes, materials, etc. All this information is conveyed to color matching personnel so that appropriate pigment and additive materials are used for each specific processing situation.
  2. Sampling and Trials:
    Qualified technical service representatives are available to conduct trials of our products. If you presently are not operating with liquid, we will bring all the necessary equipment to conduct the trial. Our technicians will set up equipment for metering the product, assist in process adjustments, if necessary, and provide overall help to qualify the product. They will answer all the questions that may arise in the course of the trial.
  3. Machinery Set-Up:
    Our technical representative will evaluate and recommend the best method and equipment for metering liquid color in your facility. In some cases, in order to use our products in the most efficient manner, and maximize productivity, some adjustments to the current machinery set-up may be necessary. Those may include installation of a pre-mixer, modification of current color delivery systems, or minor re-configuration of gravimetric weigh scale blenders, etc.

    Our technical service representatives will assist in all necessary installations, modifications and upgrades; they will make sure that equipment is functioning properly, and will follow-up on a regular basis in order to ensure consistent performance of all hardware and software.
  4. On-Site Training:
    Training will be provided to the employees that are involved in processing of our products. Training will be conducted on-site and will be structured as dictated by the customer. It will include important issues related to usage and handling of liquid color.

    If necessary, we can provide in depth seminars dealing with color theory, properties and processing of liquid colorants, as well as Quality Control issues and procedures.
  5. In-House Support:
    Customers are encouraged to contact us with any issue that may arise in the course of using liquid color. Qualified personnel are available on the phone (in English and Spanish) to answer those questions and resolve them. If problems arise with mechanical components of the metering systems, replacement parts are available for overnight delivery.
  6. Trouble-Shooting and Follow-Up:
    We are available to trouble-shoot the process on the phone during regular business hours and by visits to your factory, if necessary. We wish to be certain that your expectations with regards to the performance of our products are met consistently and continuously.
  7. Training Center:
    Our training center was created so that we can effectively train our customer's employees in the most efficient ways of using liquid colorants in the plastics industry. During our in-house training sessions we explain the general composition of our products, important properties, and QC issues. We go into greater detail discussing metering equipment, various metering options, associated hardware and software.

    We believe our training center creates great opportunities for customers to explore in-depth all the issues relating to coloring plastics.
